About Davis

Davis James Heller was not just a remarkable baseball player but a beacon of passion, perseverance, and positivity. Born on July 4, 2000, in Escondido, California, Davis’ entrance into the world was as significant as his journey through it, weighing 11lb, 13 ounces, and measuring 23 ½ inches long.

Growing up, Davis was fiercely passionate about everything he did, but it was on the baseball field where his enthusiasm truly shone. From his early days with the Oakley Stingrays, winning two national championships, to leading Valor Christian High School to a historic baseball state championship, Davis's skill and dedication were evident. Recognitions followed him as he earned 3x All-State Honors, and received noteworthy rankings from Perfect Game USA and Prep Baseball Report, making him one of the most sought-after baseball talents in both California and Arizona.

Davis’ journey in the sport took him to South Mountain Community College and later to The San Diego League. His impressive performance there won him the JUCO Player of the Year title and a spot with the University of Alabama’s baseball team. Davis's path was not without its challenges, from battling the "yips" to recovering from physical injuries. However, his unwavering determination always shone through. His latest chapter in baseball was at North Greenville University, where he played for the North Greenville Crusaders until his untimely passing in 2022.

But Davis was more than his accomplishments on the field. His love for the Alabama Crimson Tide Football, San Diego Padres, and the LA Chargers was testament to his ardent sportsmanship. Davis also cherished the moments he spent fishing and celebrating Christmas with his family in Cabo.

Above all, Davis’ life was characterized by the love he had for his family, friends, and teammates. Inspired deeply by his father, who he regarded as his role model and best friend, Davis had a heart that cared deeply and loved fiercely. Whether it was his goofy antics or his unwavering positivity in the face of adversity, Davis made a profound impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

This foundation is dedicated to Davis Heller, celebrating not just his sporting achievements, but the wonderful person he was. Through every challenge, he embodied the belief that "God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers." His life, albeit short, serves as a testament to the incredible power of faith, passion, and resilience. Here's to Davis, who lived BIG, loved BIG, and left an indelible mark on all of us.
